# What even happened?

So, today was literally my rise and fall. Got better some gear. Upgraded that gear, plus my other gear I didn’t get better of. I was kicking ass from Skirmish, to Dungeons, to PVP quick match. Normal and hard difficulty I was just mopping the floor on. Now, like day to night, I’m getting my ass handed to me. Even on “Normal”, enemies are suddenly doing an ungodly amount of damage. For instance, Skirmish on medium used to say “Hard” and I could kick ass, now it even says “Normal” and I’m getting my ass handed to me. I don’t get it. I’m higher level with more HP and getting messed up.

It’s the newest update. [Puzzle Quest 3](https://puzzlequest3.com/update-0-38-patch-notes/)
They changed spells, difficulty, and now big gems only go up to V apparently. I am not a fan.

Well that’s great. They probably decided people weren’t spending enough money.
