# Wrathful Smite can cause the game to freeze/unresponsive

**Platform, device and operation system**  
_Android, Realme 7, Android 10_

**What were you expecting to happen, and what actually happened**  
_Wrathful Smite spell text says: Deal xxx damage as dark. If Shield Gems are not in play, destroy x yellow gems._

_When I use Wrathful Smite on board with **NO shield gems** and **NO yellow gems** , the spell can cause the game to freeze/be unresponsive._

_The only way to resolve it is by force closing the game, open the game again and the bug should be fixed._

_I do not know whether it’s a coincidence or not but I often have this issue/bug when I face against **Giant Spider** enemy._

_Oh and I use **Assassin** when this bug occurred._

**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**  
_Occasionally / Consistently - not quite sure but I can say for certain that it happens lots of times._  
_My guessed prerequisites to make the bug happens:_  
_1. The current board does not have any Shield Gem._  
_2. The current board does not have any yellow gem._  
_3. The enemy is Giant Spider - this one may not be a requirement._

**Steps to make it happen again**  
_1. Equip Wrathful Smite spell_  
_2. Make sure the board does not have any Shield Gem or yellow gem._  
_3. The enemy may have to be certain ones such as Giant Spider._  
_4. Cast Wrathful Smite._  
_5. The game will freeze - become unresponsive._

Note: I cannot provide any video for this one since it’s a bit difficult to emulate. I try to explain it in details above. Hopefully the issue is clear.
