At daily reset, In the Summertime should have just ended, and then The Coin Collector should have just started.

The team is looking into it.

Shouldn’t we be getting patch notes soon?

Adventure fix should get push up to live soon.

Patch notes for 3.5 at the earliest will be before the weekend, but given everything happening currently there is a chance they may be posted at the start of the week if I get caught up.

Ty for your diligence in this matter.

The Coin Collector is now live… or has been for a little bit & I got caught up and didn’t get to post.

Will it be extended or no?

As it took less than a couple of hours to get it sorted, and not 12 hours to a full day, it will not be extended.

Okay let me explain this as if I were explaining it to a child as some people seem to have a problem grasping the concept, and then it will be the last I will say on the matter.

The notion that running repeatables simultaneously will somehow be more beneficial to the gamer is under the assumption that these top tier repeatables would be running solidly, back to back for the duration of the month.

But that’s not the case. It never has been the case and nor will it likely ever be the case. We get half a dozen decent repeatables in a single month at most interspersed with ‘fillers’.

Now as to why running repeatables consecutively is more beneficial, using the current adventures as an example:

Running Coin Collector and Khazduli consecutively gives you 9 days to farm these two adventures.

Running them both simultaneously, in its current state of overlap, only gives you 7 days to farm the two adventures.

Which of these offers the greatest opportunity to farm resources?

9 days or 7 days?

I can’t make it any clearer, but it’s time to move on as Coin Collector has finally arrived. Peace out.

Seeing that the thread is getting worse and before the well meant feedback ends up being forgotten I will try here to show that both arguments are perfectly valid, compatible and can be right at the same time. The issue is that they are based on 2 different scenarios:

  1. The “anti-overlap” argument is based on devs planning a schedule for a set of chosen adventures, with 100% freedom over the “time slots”. In this scenario, I believe all players will agree that the best would be to have replayable adventures distributed in order to maximize the number of days we have an available replayable adventure to farm. Assuming that, as it has happened until now, the number of replayable adventures is limited, them overlapping would mean losing on days with a replayable adventure to farm. So in the specific case of Khazdhuli expedition, the argument assumes that the devs can freely change the dates of it and therefore asks it to be moved a couple of days later to get 2 extra days of having a farmable adventure. 9 days or 7 days? Clearly 9 days is better.
  2. The concern showed by daddy, kenpo and myself is based on a different scenario: the devs choosing adventures to run in a specific “time slot”. We believe that the devs creating a hard rule of “never overlap replayable adventures” isn’t a good thing. For example, in this case of Khazdhuli expedition the devs have explained it was something decided to go along the holiday event. Therefore, we assume the “time slot” was a fixed one. In that scenario, we are not asking about when to have the adventure, but which adventure to have at that time. If the devs adopt the “never overlap” rule then they would never consider a highly valuable replayable adventure for such a case if there is another one already running, choosing a less valuable one or even worse, none at all instead. Khazdhuli expedition or a low value adventure/no adventure at all? Clearly Khazdhuli expedition is better.

So this debate is not “anti overlap” vs “pro overlap”. It is “optimal distribution of replayable adventures” vs “the more replayable and high value adventures, the better”. Which I hope everyone understands that they are compatible and probably what all of us want, so there is no sense in further discussions and confrontation. I am sure all of us agree that getting an extra Khazdhuli expedition is great, but that if it had been possible to schedule it not to overlap with Coin collector it would have been even better.

On a side note, Thanks to all players which invest their time to give useful feedback, I am sure that it always come from a deep love for the game and the desire to make it as great as possible.

However, please refrain from having personal rows or attacking others. Sometimes we are so focused on our own arguments that we fail to see what others try to explain. This is normal and should give rise to constructive debates where we try to politely explain our arguments while trying to understand others’.

The debates in this forums should not be a matter of who is right and who isn’t. They should just be a way to express our opinions, give feedback on how we see things and then let the devs decide what to do with it. They should never give rise to confrontation (insulting and personal attacks) or condescending behaviour (let me explain this to you because it is clear I am smarter than you and you have no idea), because then it becomes a meaningful experience.

Thanks a lot to the devs too, of course. I believe the current management of adventure schedule is great. I can only see very minor issues like a well liked adventure taking too much time on reappearing or the timing of certain adventures being a bit off, which are usually easily resolved thanks to our feedback.

Why is Swivel allowed to be a bully and degrade others in this thread in every comment he makes, even after Jeto said enough? Referring to people in the thread as “children” because he believes nobody understands his pov. This is unacceptable behavior and should not be tolerated after a dev already put a stop to the condescension. Joe wants to talk about toxic behavior. Start with your own kingdom.

I also fully agree that the start of that comment wasn’t acceptable but…

First, devs aren’t here 24 hours, so they may take some time to take action. Don’t assume anyone is being allowed to do whatever they want just because nothing has happened. Give them some time to read and decide.

Second, only in the last comment was Swivel being clearly and aggresively condescendent, (not “in every comment”). I felt as outraged by the comment as you, but let’s avoid exaggerating.

Third, a confrontation requires both sides to participate in it, so no matter how much we feel wronged, our responsibility is to try to end it even if it means ignoring hurtful comments. I can understand stating that you believe such a behavior is unacceptable, but then you end your message with further a further directed attack, keeping the confrontation alive instead of trying to soothe it.

I hope you don’t find this as an attack to yourself, which is not, but as a way to try to make you see that even if you are right in feeling upset, your comment doesn’t help. On the contrary, it just adds fuel and completely breaks my previous attempt to end the confrontation. I was really tempted to respond to Swivel’s comment but I decided that instead of escalating the situation, it was best to try to end it.

This is not the place to fight and attack each other. If any player has personal issues with others, they can go to private messaging to try to solve them privately instead. I agree that nobody should be allowed to insult and attack others, sure, but we cannot respond by doing the same because then we will be at fault too. What we should do is either ignore or point out unappropiate behaviour but then let the devs take action, without entering a confrontation. It doesn’t matter who is right or wrong, the moment any player starts or continues a confrontation here, they lose all credit.

I have already tried mediating to keep the thread open and making sure the devs get the best possible feedback. But if the confrontation continues I personally vote in favor of closing the thread. If we aren’t able to give feedback in a constructive and respectful manner, then we don’t deserve to being read.

I don’t take anything Taf or Swivel says as personal. I know them and I see it as them attacking my argument not me personally. If you are ever feeling attacked on the forums just try and ignore it and let the devs handle it.

A bit of a related question: would we also get a chance to peek into feb event schedule before the weekend? Please? :pray:t2:

Agreed, but I was not exaggerating. He is condescending, as was Santa, in every comment after I appeared. We can disagree on semantics or defined condescension, but it is best to move forward as you suggested as this is pointless. I don’t disagree, but I told no lie either.

I do like the direction PQ3 is going. Hopefully it continues to broaden its view and potential with available resources. Grungli is a great start.

Thank you for the moderate pov Higure.
