there is not a follower that makes aether or an option to buy aether in the honor shop, other followers create resources but not this particular resource ..why ?
(2) Why do we only get 3 kingdom crests for finishing a gauntlet event..the math of this game makes no sense for instance you get 5 kingdom crests for defeating a enemy which is fine ,but your only awarded 8 crests for dungeons instead of 15, and finally the gauntlet events your awarded only 3 crests for defeating 5 enemies instead of 25 crests.. every enemy should be worth 5 crests.
(3) Why does our armor score stop at 3626 ? …If your armor is maxed on mythic but your refining your armor to immortal mythic, then the armor score should also go up .
You are missing how the actual grind works. Each mode is built for a different purpose: Season Story and Adventure are for massive XP, while Events and Tourneys are specifically for Marks and Honor. If every mode gave the same rewards, there would be no point in playing the whole game. It would make the game less strategic, IMO.
As for your math on Crests, you are looking at the numbers but ignoring the clock. At high levels, both a Skirmish (5 Crests) and a Dungeon (8 Crests) take under 30 seconds to clear. The real “enemy” isn’t the reward count—it is the loading screens between matches. It is actually faster to run Dungeons for 8 Crests because you are spending less time in menus and loading bars relative to the payout.
On Aether, it helps ensure reward consistency. It ensures that even with bad chest luck, you are always making progress. I get a ton of it just by farming Dungeons and salvaging everything I don’t need. It encourages the grind and makes sure your time is always worth something.
Also, your Armor Score stops at 3626 for balance. If they let your base armor go too high, there would be no reason to use defensive spells like Deep Wave or Brawn of the Bull, or gear like Savior’s Locket. Between gear bonuses and spells, you can already push your armor into the millions or billions during a fight. If the base stats kept climbing on their own, defensive spells, defensive gear & perks, and classes like the Paladin would become completely redundant.
One reason for followers not giving Aether is that this resource was introduced way after followers. It can be added, as they did with Spelldust and Xione, but I guess there were other priorities when giving extra uses for followers (there are a lot of request to improve followers, but I don’t remember seeing this one). Additionally, my guess is that they don’t want to make Aether too available. With the Gear Rework they made it so that the main way to obtain high rarity gear is simply by opening chests (and praying), and aether was introduced as a way to give some use to all the gear pieces you get through that process (farm enough and you will be able to craft gear using the aether from salvaging). If Aether becomes too available then players won’t be needing to grind battles and dungeons so much, which may not be something the devs want. But we do have alternative ways to get aether: the Event Shop and some adventures.
This is probably because they haven’t changed it since the beginning. At the beginning skirmishes had 3 enemies and dungeons 5, so the crest/enemy ratio was correct. And KD dragon was pretty difficult, so it makes sense it also gave more crests comparately. However, they have changed a lot of things but the crest rewards remain the same, so they don’t make sense anymore. We have asked for a rework of the crest reward system once and again, but it has been never done.
Again, another issue of not updating after big changes. The gear system was way different before. For example, there was no refining, quality or different mythics. The Gear Rework changed a lot of things, but the Gear Score hasn’t been changed so that is why improving/refining quality doesn’t change it. However, take into account that Gear Score has no use in the game, it was just designed as an indicator of your strenght (and compare it to the enemy score to see how much of a challenge a battle may be).
