There’s some talk going around the in-game chatroom that soon we’ll be charged 2.99 a month to play the game, is this true?

Not sure where that could have even come from!? But it is a hard no.

The in-game chat. They were saying that Unity will be charging the fee.

Think maybe there has been a miscommunication about what Unity wants to implement (a charge to the developer per install), not the player.
