Does this game treat cellular data interactions differently?

I have been having one heck of a time playing on WiFi for the last six months or so. The game will knock all of my devices off of my wireless router and force me to try to stop and restart wifi on my tablet multiple times to try and get a connection.

Yet if I turn off wifi on my phone, I can play over my cellular data without issue.

Does this game detect if I am on a wifi connection verses a cellular connection and then change data request requirements or how hard it hammers the DNS or something?

I should not be getting aggravated trying to start a game.

No, it doesn’t. The game doesn’t recognise how it’s trying to connect to the server, just that it is or isn’t connected.

Has anything else changed in the last 6 months? New internet provider, new modem, updated model software etc..
Just because it sounds more like a wifi bandwidth issue, if trying to play an online game is causing other things to lose connection.

I did test the bandwidth idea by shutting down all other wireless devices and then sitting 5 ft from the router and using my tablet.

It may be something with my internet provider that just doesn’t like something about PQ3. I had no issue with Gem of War for more than 5 years.

Good to know.
