Is there a reason to save Citadel points as you level up and not spend them once you get them?
Because at higher Citadel Levels each level can take a very long time. So once people have their 3 for one week’s quest pass, then they bank any they have for the next week.
I do not have an opinion on which way it should work.
Is that the only reason to store them, is for the weekly task?
Yes, if the task was changed or removed, high level players would no longer have to save and store their citadel levels gained each week.
Exactly, the only reason players were storing citadel points was to get the quest pass goal. For example, if we get 1-2 levels per week we could save them so that we got the goal at least once every 2-3 weeks. I have never done it because you can still complete quest pass without that goal, but I know that several players used to do it. Now that the goal is triggered on gaining the level instead of on alloting the point there is no reason to keep doing it anymore.
I’ve raised this with the team, cos as I think I mentioned before it was described to me that it had always auto-progressed but yeah I totally understand.
Even when trying to test if this was a bug, my Citadel is level 60 so I swapped straight to a low level hero.
Additionally: We might look at changing the task completely
