In both PvP and PvE, there is an issue where stunned enemies are gaining mana off my cascading matches instead of me.
I’ve been noticing this issue on occasion for a while now, but it is much more problematic in these XII events. Especially with the current green dungeon when I need dispel magic to survive, but my cascading green matches keep refilling the enemy spells.
I don’t know if this is setup specific or not, but I’m on PS4 playing as a Necromancer with a skull damage-focused spells + dispel magic.
In the meantime, opponent abilities are still active while being stunned - they just cannot make matches or cast spells.
So if they have an ability that generates Gems on their turn, which trigger matches (and a cascade) it can look like it has gone back to the players turn, and as though those cascading matches are the players - when they are the enemies and the enemy gains mana from their matches.
If everyone gets the same (random) NPC enemies in the same order, I remember it happening with one of the enemies during the second round if that helps at all. I don’t remember which enemy, though. I should have written it down or something.
I tried to figure out the video thing once on PS4, but I aborted the effort when I saw it required youtube.
OK update. This one’s gotta be my fault. After looking through the enemy list and trying to replay what happened in my mind, I think this happened with Andromene’s Barb. I bet I used my green bow event loadout that round on accident instead of the green twinblade one I used last night (danger of having more than one daily event loadout). So that enemy must have removed the 3 skulls triggered by bonus poison damage and then caused a big cascade, helped along further by some mythic swamp soaked stuff on that particular loadout.
