Not sure of the difference in passive buff?

I have two sets of boots that give some sort of speed buff. The game doesn’t have a hover mechanic to show me what it really means.

I’m just trying to figure out if I should switch gear. I’m currently trying to buff light damage but the green gear is what I had first.

Speed increases the time for matching gems (normally base of 2.0 seconds). Haste gives you 50% more mana gained on matched/acquired gems.

Ohh, cool. I really want the haste buff but at 1%, it’s just to low of a buff for now.
