[Reported] Consume Souls not healing

Removes the skulls from the field, but never seems to heal you. Tried doing it over ten times and every time, no healing.

I can confirm this spell does apply healing.
55% chance is still a chance and not a ratio of 1:2 casting will heal.

I did a battle and used some mana cheats to keep refilling the spell, took almost 20 times before I saw any healing applied.

So are you saying its working as intended though? At 55% chance it shouldn’t take almost twenty times, right?

I’m just saying that each time you cast, there is an X% chance it will heal, and a Y% chance to not heal.

There is no number on how many times it should take before you heal.. it’s chance.
The amount of times you have cast it, is irrelevant to the outcome. Each single cast is it’s own roll of the dice if it does or doesn’t heal.

I can get a programmer to look at it, to double check, when they have a chance.

Update: The chance numbers were being pulled from the wrong place!
Fix is already on the way, likely just after 4.1 releases

Yeah figured it was a decimal error, thanks for checking.

It was grabbing the number from the % healed and not % chance!

Almost by the books!
As I’m a quality assurance guy and this seems like a deviation and the dev team is applying correction action to only this one, i was wondering if the full scope is covered/fixed? Can the team run the check of all spells where multiple % values are mentioned to make sure those pull the correct numbers everywhere? :innocent:

That’s just not realistic IMO. Even triple AAA titles like Dead by Daylight or For Honor wouldn’t do that, and they have huge teams. In any game, a bug or discrepancy is reported on a site like this one and then the devs investigate and fix. They can’t go through the entire game to check for discrepancies and still get their work done for upcoming seasons.

Lol this topic from 2021.

Looks like noone is using this spell.

Its completely outclassed by Bless the Dead, so probably doesn’t see alot of use. I think for the most part the devs do a great job designing spells, but a couple like Consume Souls and Rage of the Ram, could definitely use some tweaking.
