What were you expecting to happen, and what actually happened
After receiving a new piece of gear, it has a “new” badge. I expect this to go away, after selecting it.
Turns out it goes away only after the second time selecting it.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
This happens with every new gear.

Steps to make it happen again
Open chests to get new gear, and observe the behaviour demonstrated in the above video.

Same here, I tried interacting via inspecting the upgrade cost on the first ‘look’ at the new piece of equipment to see if that would remove the ‘new’ badge but it didn’t help.

Happens with all new equipment.

Seems to not happen if you “like” the equipment by clicking the heart icon.
