Adventure "reset" mechanic discussion

Yep that is correct - there are a lot of other things being worked on behind the scenes at the same time and being a small team means that tasks like creating new Adventures take extra time.
I do not have any update from the team, just the hope some capacity will open up and that we can start seeing them by end of Sept - Oct. But again, that is not confirmed.

For the request ticket, its asking if real money was spent? I’m assuming crowns is considered real money, right? And it says a picture is required? A picture of what exactly, not sure I can send you a picture of what its even asking for?

Just make sure your invite code is included, it’s all going to me anyways - if it’s making you attach a picture, just include one showing the offer as purchased in-game

I can’t do that, because the adventure is over. I put the amount it costs in the ticket though (150 crowns).

Quick update to this, on Friday (UTC) in addition to To Your Doom, we’ve also scheduled Dawn Circuit so there will be a replayable Adventure running through the weekend.

We’ve also updated the Khazdhuli, Flametree, and Dreamhold Expeditions to be replayable from the next time you see them come up.

Thank you @Jeto and @Mother_Morgz for your answers and explanations. I am sad that I have lost one of the features I liked most from the game, but I do hope we will be getting something equivalent. In the end, I completely agree with:

From all the feedback given after this issue, I believe there are mainly 3 lessons that should be taken into account:

  1. Gong’s song is currently useless. If you want to promote players purchasing it, it is necessary that it lasts through ending the adventure in replayable ones.

  2. Players like playing the game and farming… As long as they get reasonable rewards. Once you finish your daily tasks, how can you keep enjoying playing the game? Everyday farming quickly becomes pretty boring, once you open your 10th diamond chest with no valuable drop you learn not to expect anything from opening chests. Sure, once in a blue moon you get something nice, but it does not compensate hours and hours of joyless farming and opening junk after junk chests. Farming adventures added some joy into this by introducing some variety to farming and giving much more meaningful rewards for a limited amount of time. If non-replayable adventures are no longer farmable, then we really need more replayable adventures so that we can keep enjoying investing time into the game.

  3. Limiting the availability of resources isn’t bad, but we do need some ways to get a limited but significant progression boost. Again, farming adventures have been a great way to get the opportunity to progress faster for a limited amount of time (at a discounted yet balanced cost). With the reset feature gone, we would really need some other ways to get those highly needed but too scarce resources. Currently we have good replayable adventures for runes (rune hunters) epic runes and scrolls (borderland bash), follower crystals (dawn circuit) and ancient coins (the coin collector). However, there are still lots of scarce resources it would be nice to be able to farm through adventures: uncommon and rare scrolls, food, ore (we have rune hunters, but too expensive), loot tickets, spell dust, aether, and glyphs.

This looks like a nice start, those are really nice adventures to make replayable.

I suggest making Gong’s shushi surprise into a replayable adventure too, it would help us with the current food issue. Just make sure to remove end of adventure gem rewards to avoid the issue that happened last time this adventure was made replayable (maybe extra food for end rewards too?)

I would also really like to get replayable adventures for aether and spell dust. I loved how the new summer adventures gave these resources, and I find that we really need some adventures to be able to farm them.

There is no plan to return hero swap again in yhe future. Right?
Also
What was the intention for gong’s booster since it does not carry to next adventure in replayable advantures and no more swapping available?
Just for the few battles of a single adventure?

I will echo what alot of the other users have said and I do agree with the glyph bug here was not ideal and should be changed, taking away the actual mechanic that’s been here a fair while and no doubt the Devs were more than aware of for a very long time is just stupid.

Alot have enjoyed this mechanic for a while and what makes this game more enjoyable to farm has now been taking away because of one oversight on one adventure that can easily be addressed by just making it the last node instead, I have friends and just general people I know willing to now leave the game as its just going to be boring, you are taking away one of the better aspects of the game.

The scrolls needed for each individual job aswell is absolutely absurd, and I know your a company and the game needs to make money at the end of the day but your driving away the diehard fans and making it so new players just won’t stay therefore losing out on any more money anyway.

So I strongly urge you to reinstate the swap character mechanic that restarts an adventure and just change the glyph exploit, because even in the future you say your going to make more replayable adventures but we all know they will either be too long with too many battles to even consider farming or the rewards will be strongly reduced to compensate, nothing was broke regarding this mechanic it was just the mines adventure that needed addressing and even that wouldn’t be a problem if it wasnt for the incredibly ridiculous amount of glyphs you need per character (amount acceptable maybe even more required if was shared for all your characters just like citadel, but that’s just my opinion).

Just honestly please reconsider the loss of the mechanic and what it would mean, replayable adventures are still great for guys that want to farm and won’t pay a penny but for some of us that will pay sometimes to buy a gong song to farm an adventure let us still have that option like before personally wouldn’t even care if you double the price of gong song as people will use it on adventures they want to farm again this is my opinion but I honestly just want the Devs to consider reinstating this feature we all love even if it wasn’t intended for Initially.

Would like to hear other people’s thought on what I have posted and anything you think would help or if I’m just being stupid.

All permanent modifiers including Gongs Song will persist through replays within replayable Adventures - team is working on getting this out before To Your Doom at the end of this week

Ok, thanks better than nothing but that will make it way more expensive in time and gems. Instead of a couple fights to get to a reward or merchant than reset couple fights we’ll have to go through the entire thing. And farming without buying energy will be pretty much impossible or useless.

This is very interesting. Before this change, I never even considered buying any of the boosts. This will make it tempting.

I saw Mother_Morgz say Khazdhuli, Flametree, and Dreamhold Expeditions will all be replayable. Do you know if the relic at the end of each of those will be awarded at the end of each play through? If so, my wallet hates you. :stuck_out_tongue:

Awesome. Does this include spell glyphs as well? Or just the three forge glyphs?

So glad i left this game including GoW, these devs are clueless, they create awesome games and then muck them up and anger loyal players, best thing i did was quit PQ3 and after 9 years, GoW, life much better and bank account has way more funds in it.

Heres to never touching a 505 game again.

absolute terrible decision, it kills the game also for me. it was a good mechanic that at least rewarded farming/playing a lot. with that you scare away even most of the last players, including me.
it´s already hard enough to maximize anything for 1 char since the big change few months ago. any other class is stuck at lvl 35 upgrade cause that´s when it starts asking glyphs. sorry guys but you really have no clue. and as I´m already rambling: why the hell can i get 3 grey items from a diamond chest? the rarity upgrade is now also locked behind 3 followers that require lvl 50. if the spawn rate of the chest is rare, at least also limit the rarity of items it can include
