Is it possible for me and my wife to battle each other in the game?

Two players can fight together through the Party feature against common enemies. Regarding fighting one against the other, the closest is Versus mode. If your heroes are in the same rank tourney and have a similar gearscore you can be paired against each other. However, you won’t be really fighting each other but rather fighting each other’s character controled by the AI.
