Can’t pass phobia question. Sounds like a problem a lot are having. Anyone know when it’s getting fixed.

There’s a fix for this in v2.2
We’re currently looking at if there’s a way we can remove this prompt from the affected players’ accounts as a temporary fix in the meantime.
Can you all confirm that the first time you saw the pop up was in the archive?
As others have mentioned this seems to be what’s triggering the issue.
If anyone remembers which enemy was the last one they fought before the issue appeared as well it might be useful.
When is 2.2?
Leaving us locked out of the only meaningful method to get exp is not really acceptable.
I mean… really? Is putting the phobia setting in settings not enough? You have to have a poorly coded pop-up scattered throughout all of the archive story too?
There are people locked out of the current season too. I am sure it is just a matter of time before that afflicts my account too since I am locked out of everything else.

I first saw it in the archive and then checked the dungeon. Last opponent before the problem occurred? No way to remember it.
What surprised me: I played Chapter 3 of Season 1.2 for quite a while afterwards without any problems. When I wanted to continue with it the next day, it was immediately blocked by the PHOBIA_TYPE.
A fix in 2.2? With a bug potentially blocking the archives and even the new season, I would have expected a patch within a few hours. (if possible)

@Kafka I think I have cracked the code.
I just bought a new season 1.5 for 750 gems to test.
Everything is working great, play through a whole chapter, reset, play again like I do.
Then…
I walk away from my system and the current fight times out. I restart the game and go back into season 1.5 to see this:
I am now locked out of 11 of 11 seasons across two accounts

As soon as we have any more information, myself or Kafka will jump in here and update the article! I passed on some more information to the team this morning, as I am also affected by this on my personal account in the current Season.

I have had the same issue in one of the archive seasons. After reading here that people are having the same problem on the current season I thought I would try to head off this problem.
Before starting the current season story I went to the settings and turned the arachnophobia setting on and then off again in the hope that by doing this it wouldn’t ask me in the current season.
So far I’m up to chapter 8 and it has not asked me about the arachnophobia setting despite having battled some spiders.
Can I confirm that for the players with this issue are getting the error every time they play in the Archive? Or is it only some of the time?
Also if anyone gets an error message when they press the ‘Yes’ button can you please screenshot it and put it in the thread here for me?
Also are you getting the same error in every game mode or just in the Archive? (I know a couple of people mentioned it happened once for them in Dungeon too)
I posted just above Kafka. For fun I went to have a look for the archive season that was locked previously to see if it had unlocked given what I had done. When I entered 1.5 it immediately showed the arachnophobia screen. Clicking on the yes or no button does nothing. The button changes color showing it registers my click but nothing happens.
It is persistent. You cannot play the archive once it happens.

I have tried everything I can think of.
Uninstall / Reinstall
Start new account to get the popup in a non-archive.
Change phobia settings.
Bought new archive (on 2n account) and posted results above. It locked out when I let the game time out on the rewards screen after an autoplay.
I’m having the same issue as @00h00m, permalocked out of Season 2.1 story.
@Kafka the PS5 doesn’t allow screenshots of error reports and there’s no way to access the video of error reports that get sent to Sony unfortunately.
The error code is CE-108255-1 if that’s any help.
It happens every time in the Archive mode when clicking “Yes” on the PHOBIA message.
Good thing I didn’t buy the 2.1 season pass since I CAN’T play it at all. I can play archive stories but not the new season stories AT ALL. Please FIX!

Hoping to get an update from the development team about this issue today, as always, as soon as we have some more information Kafka or I will be back in here asap.

The game was working fine and I decided to replay an old season now a error pop up, I feel that it does an internal reset
@Jeto It looks like you did not get an update yesterday?
Any chance we have an update, or better yet, a fix today?
For me, this bug is the worst one to date. I am sure there are some old timers that may have other war stories. I am really surprised that there is not a higher urgency to resolving this.
We are unfortunately waiting for some details to be confirmed, sorry for the delay everyone.

I am also blocked on season 1.3. Clicking “NO” doesn’t work and clicking “YES” crashes the game.
