The enemy can gain/inflict buffs/debuffs when they match Dream Gems. I thought the new gem ownership mechanic should prevent this?
I understand you were the one creating the Dream Gems, weren’t you?
Yes, but they matched them and I got the debuffs on me.
That rule only applies to your ultimate gems, not special gems you put on the board. Dream gems are fair game for both players, you just have first dibs on matching them usually.
