Since the start of this season 3.4 my in-game mail envelope always looks inactive without any number as if there is no mail. However the mail keeps coming normally; I just have no notification, and I had it previously. Didn’t have a time to report it earlier.
When the season 3.4 started I asked about this issue on my kingdom chat and on the general PSN chat. It’s possible that other accs have no such problem.
Please fix any anomaly you see with my acc, including this missing mail notification.
I often get mail hourly since kingdom tasks are completed quickly. It is the same since 3.4 started, many week. The mail envelope always stays “inactive” as if all mail is read. And there is always mail. Since I never open all, just when need resources.
I can’t make and transfer video. Think you opened all your mail. Then you click on an “inactive” envelope without any number, and you see 20 mails in it that you can read, claim or leave unclaimed. This is what the video would show.
It always shows no mail, i.e. an inactive envelope 100% of time. Always, unconditionally, no matter what mode, for the whole month already. Although there is always mail, including a bunch of new mails daily.
I can see you have a few pieces of mail sitting in there - while I do not think it should stop notifications coming through, worth checking if clearing your inbox also resolves your issue.
Just for the record, I followed these instructions.
I had some player listed as blocked in the in-game chat 60 days ago. His name was empty. I don’t remember blocking any player 60 days ago, especially with empty name. I am sure the problem started immediately when Season 3.4 started.
I unblocked that mysterious player, and the mail notification problem was immediately solved. The envelope is now shown as active with “9+” on it, as intended.
Does this mean that some intended code (including mail notification) was never reached for my account because the condition of checking for unexisting player stopped execution of this code? Is there something in this code that made my play different from the rest of the players since Season 3.4 started?
I can mention, for example, that the drops from season 3.4 chests (9 daily dungeon chests) were pretty bad, almost no mythic drops. And I always pay real money for all season paths. On some days all 9 chests were iron, with possibly one gold chest. And thinking about it, when I compare my “luck” with the “luck” of other players that do more or less the same daily tasks in our in-kingdom conversations, it always seems that my “luck” is unbelievably bad. Not sure whether this is a normal behavior or may be caused by similar “crazy” bugs.
As for your previous suggestion to clear my mail. I would clear it more often if the game didn’t force the limits on gold, food and ore. I think it should be like in GoW. No reason to have any limits on player’s resources.
