The Gear Rework

However this issue is resolved, here’s the main point:

  • High investment resources are those that require money and/or a lot of gaming time to obtain. Glyphs and Mythic relics are the main examples.
  • If developers must make a game-changing decision that necessitates vaporizing high-investments resources, then gamers should be compensated.

Here’s an example of vaporizing high investment resources:

  1. Gamer #1 had a Lvl 50 twinblade and a Mythic Lvl 45 twinblade. After the conversion, they end up with a Lvl 50 offense scroll, and two mythic twin blades of the same quality.
  2. Gamer #2 also had a Lvl 50 twinblade and a Mythic Lvl 45 twinblade. However, one hour before the gear rework announcement, they upgraded the second twinblade from Lvl 45 to Lvl 50 by using 10 weapon glyphs (which are worth 22000 glyphs or over $300). After the conversion, they will also end up with a Lvl 50 offense scroll, and two mythic twinblades of the same quality.

Can anyone explain to me what Gamer #2 gained when they upgraded their 2nd twin blade to Lvl 50 by spending $300 on 22000 gems to buy 10 weapon glyphs? I really really really hope I’m missing something here. Because otherwise, the new gear rework will vaporize those high investment resources used to upgrade the second Lvl 45 twinblade to Lvl 50.

Again: If this gear rework is going to nullify any high investment resources, gamers should be compensated. Either that, or give Lvl 50 the higher quality versions (e.g. Immortal Mythic)

And if anyone responds, please don’t waste your time, my time, or anyone’s time with any of the following arguments:
(1) they had their value for that time, (2) look on the bright side, (3) don’t look at the downside, (4) don’t be selfish and take away the added value I’ll be getting {BTW I’m not advocating for this}, (5) if I would have known, (6) go cry me a river, (7) they shouldn’t have spent money, (8) they deserve this, (9) etc.
