From what Jeto said it should be all chest types.
If its all chest types then it definitely is not working as intended. I will make it a point to take pictures of drops coming up.
EDIT - I just opened up a Seson 3.0 Diamond Dungeon Chest and got an Uncommon minion. While it might not apply to minions right now, that feels just as bad as getting Normal/Uncommon gear too.
Edit 2 - Since it would be awkward for me to share a picture with my setup - chest total was Gold Capped (please can we fix this), 536 Food, 76 Spell Shards, 84 Armor Shards, Uncommon Efredi, and 152 Spell Pages for Field of Dreams. Level 100 Chest, Level X Dungeon
