Cursor Snapping

One thing I’d like to see changed/tweaked in the future is cursor snapping.

I wish the cursor snapping would count the board as one click (or even completely skip it), instead of counting each gem of the board as one press. And it should completely ignore the health bars. Would make it so much easier to press to the left once to go to end turn or again after that to go turn on autoplay. No reason to count the board since you can do that normally anyway. It defeats the whole point of having a cursor snap in the first place

  • So 2 to 3 clicks to the left to instantly auto play each match

And honestly you could even skip the board entirely, thats what the normal control is for

We got alot of older and handicap players playing this, some that have trouble using their hands, so they rely heavily on the autoplay.

Just moved this to it’s own thread, so others can share their feedback and thoughts.

This is a great idea, but i have one issue/suggestion for it as stated.

If this was implimented, i feel strongly that it should be a toggle option. Using the analog sticks is pretty good, but at least i personally sometimes mess up, and move say, down right i stead of down. Niw most of the time this means nothing, as you can undo moves, or it simply doesnt match. If you happen to get very unlucky, youll be using your last AP point to make a row/column move wrong, and have the wrong move make a match, which is super frustrating.

I also sometimes play one handed, and its wasy with the DPad, but hard analog.

There is one other solution to this issue that i was teying to fix with button .apping but failed.

On most screens, we have a few to a lot of buttons we dont use, or that arent assigned. i may be wrong about some if these off the top of my head but:

L3 and R3 do nothing, L2 and R2 rarely do anything, and i think the ps5 touch pad is just shortcuts to chat or something?

I cast spells with L1/R1/square, but uf we could assign empty or not crucial buttons to em"end turn" and “auto battle” that would fix a lot of thw battle screen.

The single best improvement though would be assigned buttons for the chest reward screen for “salvage” “use key” and something that selects the first minion in your list.

If your cursor is above salvage, and you hit down, it typically wont go to salvage, and you need to input DUU or DU.

Actually there is a option in the settings - general called auto end turn. I believe its Enabled by default, well if the match is super important like tourney or Event then you may want to disable it. I don’t like to disable it personally, but the advantages of doing this is if you make a mistake your turn doesn’t end, you can just go back and fix it. It also makes spells alot stronger since you can take all of your actions and then cast spells. In the case of gem creating spells like channel poison, this is going to help to direct the gems to fall where you want them to. I think alot of your really serious mindset players, probably play with this disabled.

You could introduce a key combination where, for example, you have to press L3 + R3 to end the round automatically, if the function doesn’t already exist with just a different key combination, something like that might still make sense. Pressing 2 buttons would also avoid the accidental press problem. It can be useful from time to time and would speed up the game time a little.

I play with having to hit end of turn on. It wasnt on auto by default. I honestly forgot all about this setting. But if you use all your moves, and there are still moves to be made, it still goes to the next turn. Auto end is only for when no matches remain, unless im missing something or another setting.

Its enabled by default, you want to disable it if you don’t want the game ending your turn automatically. If its disabled, you have to end the turn by pressing the end turn button or turning on auto-play. It allows you to cast spells at the end of your turn instead of during your turn and correct any potential misplays at the expense of potentially slowing your matches down by adding an extra step to end turn.
