Regarding the minions, the way I look at it, having a high volume of Mythics is actually one of the biggest wins we’ve had for the community. In Puzzle Quest 3, your minions really act as the “engine” for your entire gear progression. High-tier minions provide the “Cunning” and “Speed” we need to cycle through chests faster and grab those bonus keys that lead to Mythic gear.
I don’t see the “surplus” as a bug or a hurdle at all; it’s a vital tool. Having a deep roster of top-tier minions allows us to keep the chest cycle running at much higher uptimes, which is easily the most sustainable way to farm for weapons and armor without hitting a wall. Plus, having extras to salvage for minion shards is essential for leveling up the ones we keep. This level of “minion generosity” is exactly what helps players bridge the gap to the end-game, and honestly, I think the game’s balance is in the best spot it has ever been in. It really is the perfect solution for both the playerbase and the developers themselves in making the game feel rewarding but also keeping the game’s economy intact.
ps. I am working on getting the patch notes from the team to try and post them today, at least a day ahead of 4.5’s release. But there is a chance they will come out tomorrow with the update.

As for the reports around Mythic Minions, one of the devs is looking into it.
They shouldn’t consistently be dropping as level 1. Also, chests should be displaying all odds, so if mythic is not being displayed then we will look into that further, as it should use the same code as anywhere else.
Either way, it is being investigated

For those wanting a comparison (level 100 ruby skirmish chest)
The team found the issue, and basically it was using the rarity odds for items not collectables.
As for level, the collectable drop range for level is based on rarity. Because mythic was not supposed to drop, is set to one
So we are looking to fix that up. Fixing it should also not interfere with any of the other items in chests. Just need to investigate a little more!

Atta boy, now getting mythic minions nerfed we will get crap minions and crap gear drops.
Do you really thinking taking mythic minions out of the pool is gonna increase loot drops you’re nuts.
Instead of mythic we will just get more legendary or lower now and still the same gear drop rates.
How does it always take 1 person to ruin things for everyone….

We are going to leave Mythic Minions in the pool, so we will update the visuals to show accurately what is happening with those drop chances.
We will also fix the Mythic Minions so when they do drop, they will be between level 20-40, instead of level 1.
This likely will not be adjusted or changed until after 4.5 releases in less than 24 hours.

Fantastic news! My take? Leave the level 20–40 jump on the cutting room floor. If you fix the drop table and keep the current tuning as is, you’ve already got a masterpiece.
Farm Girls Day Out is the perfect storm: it makes the rotation feel essential and gives players a real reason to pick up Gong’s Song. But even without the buff, the minion shard scarcity makes this an incredible lure—never underestimate a Level 1 mythic, it’s basically six free glyphs in a trench coat. The rewards are already sky-high; if it ain’t broke, don’t buff it!
P.S. If anyone actually deserves those level 20-40 mythic drops, it’s Jocea. She’s in such desperate need of a buff that she’s basically a legendary in a mythic world right now. Redirecting that power her way would solve the “underpowered follower” problem while keeping the Farm Girls loop exactly as it should be: perfect.

Of course, you’ll get more mythical equipment, but if you want to call your mom, then shut your mouth and don’t tell me what to do. If you’re a complainer, then sit back and enjoy what the game provides.The translator is clumsy, but I hope you get my point.

@ Jeto, on another note, which has been mentioned many times before.
there is a “log jam” caused by lack of yellow epic scrolls. i have 9 yellow spells at rare, and over 9000 pages for them because
there is not a good way to get yellow epic scrolls.
my suggestion stands:
make a new adventure, i suggest for Elyra who doesn’t have one, as she is kind of yellow anyway as she makes gold. and be rewarded with epic and legendary light scrolls.
we have an adventure for all the other colors.
it is hard to feel it is not an intentional issue since it has been a long term one. hard to believe it is an “oversight” since it has been mentioned before by many,
