I accept this may not be a bug, but I wanted to find out.
My Strength of Power right now destroys 6 gems.
If 0 gems locked into a match on the board, 5 gems are destroyed as expected.
If multiples gems are match, say 15 locked into a match and 6 or more free and unmatched, some random amount is destroyed, but often leaving some of the unmatched undestroyed. So it seems like it is selecting for possible random destruction gems that are already locked to match and cannot be destroyed.
I am not sure if this is the intended function or if it should be only be looking at those free 6. Anthrite Furnace will only look and try to destroy unmatched red gems.
So if this is a bug, it seems to be minor to me. It just seems to be a bit inconstant comparing to Anthrite Furnace so I wanted to point it out.
I wouldn’t call that a minor bug, as a big part of Strength to Power’s appeal is being able to help reset the board, which is less effective if its not targeting the unmatched skull gems like its presumably supposed to. Also not consistent with other similar spells, if that is indeed the case.
You’re not using a Esgaard Bandelior are you? Because I believe the skulls that it generates on the field are applied after the spell’s effect.
Yeah, just tested it, its definitely bugged. I have a 3 skull chain with 5 potential targets. My Strength to Power can destroy 6, but only destroys 3, leaving 2 valid skull targets untouched.
