Yes, I can understand how everyone getting a better ring than the one obtained by the heavy grinders may be seen as unfair… But maybe we should stop thinking of what others will be getting and focus on our own gainings. Do you believe getting 3 more rings, one of them legendary, apart from the one you have won is not good? Would you prefer that everyone gets only an uncommon and a rare ring? That would be fairer for the people doing all the kills to get the epic ring, wouldn’t it?
As you said, it is difficult to please everyone, but I believe a good compensation is the one that benefits as many players as possible, and this feels like a great compensation specialy for beginners and mid players which are the ones that need it most. I will also be getting the epic ring but I am really happy that everyone, even the ones that will not finish the event, will be getting a legendary ring.
I appreciate the compensation. I think it will go a long way to help some of the newer players that had no real change of grinding out so many kills feel welcome. It may even be a first legendary for some players, which going into the gear change may be a dramatic boost for them.
To those that completed the grind, try to look at this as extra customizable options. I understand you probably had to make some choices to complete the grind, so I understand the frustration that comes with making those sacrifices and then having everyone have access to the ring. Remember the more players we can keep in the game and grow it, the more cool toys we will have in the future. You should all get a special portrait that indicates you completed the grind!

You miss my point. I do not know how many players dug, drilled and slaved to obtain the ring. In my case, hours upon hours. Plus, my stash of keys is gone. Resources such as gold and ore. Gems. All sacrificed to obtain that wonderous ring.
So there is this group, that put in that amount of time and effort that is being ignored. You think it wondrous that everyone receives the same compensation but ignore those who grinded away and justify that difference by saying, “ oh you should be happy now you have more rings” Rubbish.
Compensate everyone as so detailed, that seems fair, but do not ignore those who expended a lot of time and resources to do the St Paddy’s Day special quest. Including us in the player appeasement compensation does not return keys and resources we did not need to burn up. I think fair compensation to those who earned their ring would be the materials needed to take that earned ring mythic.

This is really great compensation, for those who, seeing the original requirement, gave up on fulfilling it.
However, there is no additional compensation for those (myself included) who were so crazy and fulfilled the requirement that the vast majority considered insane.
In any case, I would like to thank the developers for not letting the problem go, for addressing it and for compensating for it.
Thank you Jeto for the compensation, but we need to understand something now , there is no chance I can mythic this clover ring since I don’t have enough glyphs this week to evolve it now. after the update, how would it be possible for anyone to evolve this piece and make it mythic?!
I recently upgraded the ring to Legendary without knowing that there would be a legendary one coming. Can I get my Glyphs back @Jeto so I can use them for something else? User code GO0DOLDB0Y_AWBF. Would be really handy just before the gear re-work. Thx for looking into it.
You find spell pages in chests now, which makes opening them way more interesting. Pretty easy to level up spells to legendary with little effort. Much easier than it was before the patch.
