To be fair to the devs, its easier to get gems now than it was before, so paying gems as part of the cost isn’t as bad as it used to be. But that said, I still prefer the old Darkhunter to this new one.
So I have been stuck in a loading screen for the last minute or two trying to join a party. I don’t remember this happening often prior to the last update. I have to restart the game. Is there any relief available here?
Edit: This is an ongoing and continuous problem. Has occurred multiple times. Not every time, but when it happens you are stuck.
50 gems for an epic scroll I agree with. Not more than 200 like it is currently suggested.
I don’t see gems being any easier to obtain KK. Maybe there is more opportunity to obtain gems, but I doubt that slightly. Are you referring to the adventure schedules?
No new achievements this time around? If so, is it just for this version or are you done with the seasonal achievements?
I have been secretly hoping that you’d add some punishing ones, like in Gems of War, to give end game players something another goal to shoot for! But I might be in the minority on that one.
True but hard to spend on a formerly “free” option when there’s so many other things to use gems for.
This is one of the problems I used to have trying to do parties and thought was being fixed. Maybe they’re still working out the kinks and joining parties will be better. I hope so, I tend to avoid parties because it didn’t work more often than it did so looking forward to that change.
Adventures like the 3 expeditions and farm girls. Its not hard to get gems anymore really.
Hmmm if they are done adding more trophies I might just be done with game..

@Jeto So alot of us did the “Return to Ragnar” adventure before the patch dropped and just got the standard gem rewards. Well now for anyone who finishes it after the patch its giving Festival tokens up to 600 and gems. I’ll show you on my alt… I only got 300 here, because my alt is weak and I had to do it on Master Difficulty. Its 600 festival tokens on ultimate.
I thought it seemed off, because on prior festivals, we usually get 2k festival tokens on the first day in order to buy something huge like a character skin right away.
Yeah it was my understanding it wouldn’t cos it had already begun and that data would already be live I’ll follow up.
Followed up: Definitely shouldn’t have rewarded Festival Currency, seems like it’s been a while since we had an Adventure overlap a Festival since we added in the currency as a completion reward.
Just now waiting to see how we get those missed currency out.
Currently grabbing all players who had completed this Adventure before 4.0 released and will be sending them the Festival Currency they would have been rewarded for the completion of the Adventure if it was played during the Anniversary event.
Will take some time as we will need to test the mail before sending it, but will update once we start getting that mail live.
PS. when I say “grabbing all players” I mean, pulling the data, do not need name codes from anyone.
Posted a list of fixed on the way and released yesterday into the Balances & Changes thread

Oh dear Darkhunter!!!
Please review the Deconstruct feature.
I know many players who are limited on epic scrolls and yet have an abundance of mythic and at first light this option looks enticing… However.. how the heck can you ‘DESCONTRUCT’ is that even a word!! An mythic light scroll for example and get epic poison.. really.
I get the uncommon and rare as subcomponents but please scrolls of different elements??
Darkhunter please stop partaking in the Tavern beverages and sober up with a few crafts to help players
Lol I agree.
If there was any logic to it, deconstructing a rune/scroll should result in an item with an identical element.
As for enhancing, combining two scrolls for example of the same element should result in a higher rarity scroll of that element. Likewise, combining two scrolls of differing elements should have a 50/50 chance of resulting in a higher rarity scroll of either one of those two elements used in the recipe.
If logic played a part in it that is! As it stands it appears to be just a very expensive game of roulette.
Or even if you could just lock in one of the items to be made with desconstructing, and the rest random.
But the change I’d really like to see is for Darkhunter to get his original 3 first unlocked abilities back… Update 4.0 Patch Notes - #22 by KenpoKid69
It was nice because it gave you a gold sink without having to spend any gems. Which by the way, we have the same problem as before where Darkhunter is actually more useful if you don’t level him up. The more you level him the worse he becomes. Just look at the chart, he’s great at level 30, but then becomes terrible at level 35 and upwards. Everything costs gems from that point on. I’d rather pay the ore and gold costs and keep him underpowered. And he’s perfect at 30 tbh since his focus is uncommon, rare, and epic scrolls. Once he starts adding legendary and mythics to what he can make, he becomes considerably worse IMO and you get the double slap of having to pay gems for it as well.
Look at this… Uncommon > Epic 2,000 Gold + 375 Ore Up to 4 at level 30. That is incredible, not only is it cheap, but its incredibly focused, but then you lose it once you go to level 35 and higher and he gets worse and worse and worse.
What you’re saying makes perfect sense, and its a good way to do the ability in a way that people can understand easily. A counter argument though would be, what if you don’t want that element back? Like I have a excess of Mythic Fire Scrolls, so if I was ever going to use Darkhunter, I’d probably use a mythic fire scroll in the hope of getting epic light scrolls. Most of the fire minions other than Morboar who is exceptional, tend to be substandard in terms of farming chests. Whereas light minions tend to be exceptional in regards to farming chests. I wouldn’t want to burn a mythic light scroll ideally. Its a great way to give the player some control over what they’re crafting, but also not without its own drawbacks is what I’m saying here.
That’s a fair point however I counter your counter with why is it when you salvage a light gear piece you have a percentage chance of getting a light rune, not a random one??
We could go on for days ![]()
I’d just like the Devs to review their Darkhunter decisions and make him as wonderful as the Grungli update ![]()
