Chest Drop Changes?

On tonight’s dungeon runs, I noticed some oddities on the low end of the loot scale.

A minion dropped out of an iron chest.

Didn’t take a screenshot of it (should have), but I also had another iron chest drop a low rarity spell.

Were the restrictions on drop type by chest rarity removed?

EDIT: Had a minion and a spell drop off out of the same iron chest today.

Loosely speaking, rarer chests dropping more often and the loot tables having nicer things in them and more shards.
