Dear programmers, please explain yourself! Your game is purchased on STEAM! In Russia!
Access is now disabled for users from RUSSIA! My complaint is not the only one, and STEAM cannot do anything about it!
Whose side are you on anyway? Return the game or the money!
I have replied to a different player about similar - nothing has been done on our side, also, there are no server issues.
The error codes you are receiving is a failure in the connection between your device and our servers, and not a failure on the server.
Which implies there is an issue with the internet provider, if you are using a VPN etc.. waiting for anyone to share more information on if this error occurs when they change their internet from wifi to mobile data, or vice versa or answer if they are using a VPN.
As I mentioned to another player, I cannot investigate without further information, because as I have made clear, we have not had any server errors in weeks.
If anyone can share any more information, or answer those questions, I can pass it on to the team.
I’ve tried to look into it and I can only speculate, but it sounds like the issue is coming from the Russian government and their strict regulations on games and game services. Some companies are even ending services voluntarily, even when they don’t have to.
Here’s what AI had to say on the matter: While Steam has not been officially banned in Russia, it has faced restrictions and compliance requirements. While the platform remains operational, the Russian government has requested and Steam has complied with the removal of specific content deemed “banned”. Additionally, some developers have voluntarily limited sales of their games in Russia.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
** No complete ban:*
Steam is not completely blocked in Russia, and users can still access the platform.
** Content removal:*
Steam has removed over 260 “banned materials” and 11 web pages from its platform at the request of Roskomnadzor, Russia’s media regulator.
** Voluntary restrictions:*
Some developers have chosen to limit or stop sales of their games in Russia.
** Specific restrictions:*
The Russian government has also added some Steam community pages to its register of prohibited material.
If Support requests a player.log from you, follow the steps below to locate the file:
Make sure PQ3 is completely closed
Open your Main C: folder
Click on your named user folder
Locate the AppData folder
This may be hidden. You can unhide it from your folders by right-clicking anywhere in your User folder and unselecting the Hidden check box and pressing ‘Apply’
you have not opened access to the correct *.log format again!
I copied the game log and changed the format from log to txt the new user does not have the rights to add attachments. Excuse me? And how can the technical support system even work?
I wonder if I can private message you, and if you can see it (you will see a green number in the upper right corner of the forum window), perhaps you can send it to me? Going to give this a try.
EDIT: The more I think about it, this won’t work. You may be able to see the private message, but the new user forum block on loading attachments is still going to apply.
Anyone remember what the new forum user timer is? Is it 7 days (in which spyhunter’s new account locks should expire sometime today) or longer than that?
