[REPORTED] Bug: True Damage and Opponent Counters Crash

Separating this true damage interaction into its own thread, as this one causes the game to freeze.

What were you expecting to happen, and what actually happened

This is one is pretty straightforward, and I believe wins the award for Awkward Ability Interaction of the Day.

The player defeats the zombie in an attack. However, the zombie makes the saving throw for Reanimation and saves with 1 HP. As it is now the zombie’s turn, its active ability (Wake the Dead) is charged and begins casting the spell (Note the portion of the enemy casting announcement on the right side of the screen.). However, because of the delayed application of the Night Bow’s true damage, the true damage is applied after the zombie begins casting its spell and re-defeats the zombie. The game then becomes stuck, as it does not appear to know how to resolve the situation.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?

Always occurs when the sequence of events in the previous paragraph occur.

Steps to make it happen again

  1. Fight a zombie
  2. Defeat it with a Night Bow featuring true damage (but with the bow’s normal damage), when that turn’s move also charges the zombie’s active ability to full.
  3. The zombie must successfully make its guts saving through the Reincarnation counter.
  4. The true damage effect from the bow is applied to the zombie after it makes its guts saving throw.
