[Resolved] Home screen for every character is lagging and screen tears

I’ve done all I can to restart game and console, however my home screen is so laggy for every character regardless of backdrop and the box with the Pass Progress is a screen tear and can not be read.

This started with the Kings bday tasks and again with today’s ice cream cone tasks.

Still happening. It takes ten seconds for the cursor to move one spot.

This sounds identical to what happened to me on the PS5 a few days ago. Reinstalling the game didn’t help at all but it sorted itself out after about 24hrs.

@TheInturned are you able to grab a video or a couple of photos?

Also have you recently cleared your console cache and reinstalled PQ3?

No and No. (I may be able to grab some photos later if it’s still like this)

This happened last week at the beginning of the event for a good 24 hours. Then it resolved until today.

Here’s a pic of the screen tear. The video is exactly like Swivels above.

The longer the screen is up the slower it gets to almost unresponsive. Does not change with different characters/backgrounds.

Edit… switched characters and screen tear is on top of task box and can’t scroll at all.

Does your second character have no Adventure progress?
Working out what task might be triggering this issue

No progress…correct.

I’ve barely used my alts.

I’m loading up now with the alt as my main to see if the game starts with the lag…

And the picture still looks the same…I have that smear with 23m showing above the midsummer festival that is now active. That is in the pic that I took earlier as well.

The only constant is the 23m smear that shows in all the boxes.

Also…the task menu (midsummer, Overview, Dailies, Passes) is the only other menu to lag.

The team have a potential fix for this issue that we will try to get out as soon as we can, if that fails it may require a client fix - which would be 3.2

Just waiting for an update on when the initial fix has gone out

Thank you.

I just played a bit, new adventure is hilariously sad. But I backed to main screen and couldn’t handle the lag so I cried and then took the dog out to play.

Initial fix has been released, may take some time to get out - if you experiencing this again after the next daily reset, just pop a comment in here again

It’s working normally now before the reset.
