[Updated] Attention Players

If you reinstall and then log in to your PQ3 account and restore that way rather than use the cloud save restore are you still locked out? No idea if this would work but it’s an idea that popped in to my head.

It seems both methods pull the same account/data that is tagged with 2.2.
I suspect the dev teams will need to change that bit in the accounts back to 2.1 before any of the affected users will be able get back in.

The same as you but I restored my account by mail (level and others parameters are ok).
As you can see on the screenshot on my previous post, the game version is 2.1 but there is a pop-up like yours.
I hope Jeto and devs will find a solution soon.

@The_Rev whats your name code, as we manually pushed out a fix for players again to clear that error - I’ll pass on your account if you are still getting this message or follow up with the team again

And to confirm @The_Rev , you’re still getting the error that you have played on a newer version?

Well, at the time of shmaunpq’s post I was, but just after that last post, I tried restoring once more and now I’m in!

So I may have needed to reinstall once more first. Thank you!

I reinstalled the game for the second time, restored my account and the game launches !

I have uninstalled game, went to extra effort and unstalled google play. Reinstalled google play, re installed game. Still same issue, please inform me what I do now. I used mail restore game, not cloud restore same issue

I reinstalled twice, but still have the same issue. Also Steam version was giving same error yesterday, haven’t tested that one today. So what is needed to be done to fix this?

Hi, I have the same Error as described above by someone else.

Had the “you played on a newer version” error.
Uninstalled the game, redownloaded Version 2.1 via playstore, recovered Account from Mail. Game restarts, but “you played on a newer version” is still happening.

I un- and reinstalled multiple times and it doesn’t help.

My namecode is BAMMPHIL_TLUF.

Just for the new people here who might not know the devs are located in eastern Australia so right now it is out of office hours.

I don’t know for sure as I’m not affiliated in any way but it might be many hours before they are fixing any more accounts. As is may need to be office hours there. If you’re lucky someone may do something from home. But you may need to wait a while.

They’ll read all of these messages when they start work.

Never got into v2.2, just got stuck at a loading screen. Can’t play on Xbox or Android :frowning:

I too am locked out with the “You have played on a newer version…” message. Android somehow auto updated to 2.2 and I had tried to open game (about 9 hours ago)… Re-forced android update to 2.1 now I am locked out on android and steam.

I have the same problem (version 2.1, error message because i have used a more recent version). Can’t log on any version (Xbox as well)

I was not aware of the problem with the new update so am now also logged out of my Puzzle Quest 3 game on my mobile and my phone. Help what should I do next please
